This is A PLATED STEEL UPGRADE the aluminum connector that often leaks or breaks leaking antifreeze onto your engine. The factory aluminum once were known for failure. Not anymore! Plated steel will last the life of your truck!

It screws into the 1/2" NPT female hose in your thermostat crossover manifold. The heater hose on these engines is actually an aluminum tube on the end that just pushes into this connector and clicks to secure. Either the internal o-ring drys out and leaks, or corrosion causes these to leak. Easy fix for a few bucks.

Highly recommended to replace when installing a new thermostat crossover manifold as the old one is a bugger to remove. Complete with o-ring, snap connector and pre-doped on the threads ready to install.
