This is a Remanufactured 6.6L LMM Duramax Common Rail Fuel Injector. The 8th digit of the VIN will identify which engine model you have. LMM engines have "6" as the 8th digit of the VIN.

Symptoms of worn injectors are hard starting, very smokey start-ups overnight, misfiring, loss of power and most common symptom, POOR FUEL MILEAGE. Worn injectors can damage your engine as with age they tend to leak fuel overnight into the cylinders. This will wash the lubricant off the pistons and cylinders creating metal to metal contact and severe engine damage. Running injectors past 100K miles is like playing Russian Roulette with your engine!
