The PMD is the small black box the size of a deck of playing cards on the side of your injection pump. It is a signal amplifier that powers the fuel solenoid on your injection pump. In stock location, it is prone to premature failure. I strongly suggest not re-installing it in the stock location. Mount to a remote cooler such as our FSD Heat-SyncTM. Check our products page for more info. If replacing the PMD, don't forget the resistor. PMD's do not come with one and one is required. If you omit the resistor, your PCM will default to a #1 resistor setting to keep you running. But, performance and mileage will suffer greatly. I suggest a #9 resistor in all applications.
